BICILLIN®-5

Indications and usage
For treatment of cattle, sheep, she-goats, foxes, Arctic foxes, burrows, dogs, pigs with necrobacteriosis, pasterellosis, pneumonia, mastitis, metritis, wound infection, otitis, urinary tract infections, septicemia, phlegmon, actinomycosis, emphysematous carbuncle, streptococcal septicemia, glanders, croupous and catarrhal pneumonia (in horses), streptococcosis, staphylococcosis (fur game and dogs); erysipelas.

Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to penicillins. Contraindicated for use in guinea pigs, hamsters. In case of allergic reaction, animals should be treated with the following medications in common doses: norepinephrine or epinephrine subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously; 10% solution of calcium chloride intravenously; dyphenhydramine intramuscularly or intravenously.

Dosage and administration
Preparation is given only intramuscularly. Suspension is prepared in sterile conditions and directly before injection. After an amount of 9 ml of isotonic solution of NaCl or sterile water for injection or 0.25-0.5% solution of novocain has been injected into the vial, Bicillin®-5 should be mixed to get homogenous mixture.
