BICILLIN®-3
Composition
1 vial contains the following active ingredients: sterile benzylpenicillin benzatin - 200,000 U sterile sodium salt of benzylpenicillin- 200,000 U sterile novocaine salt of benzylpenicillin- 200,000 U
Indications
The treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, horses, foxes, arctic foxes, minks, dogs, pigs for necrobacteriosis, pasteurellosis, pneumonia, mastitis, metritis, wound infections, otitis, urinary tract infections, septicemia, cellulitis, actinomycosis, blackleg, streptococcal septicemia, glander, fibrous and catarrhal pneumonia, stachybotriotoxicosis, streptococcosis, staphylococcosis, infectious stomatitis, rhinitis, plague, erysipelas.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillins or novocaine. If an allergic reaction occurs, animals should be given antiallergic medications (norepinephrine or epinephrine, 10% solution of calcium chloride; dimedrol). Should not be used in guinea pigs and hamsters.
Dosage and administration
The suspension is prepared immediately before use by adding 5-6 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or sterile water for injections, or 0.25-0.5% novocaine solution into the vial and stirring until the suspension is homogenous. BICILLIN-3 is administered as a deep intravenous injection once every 5-6 days in the following doses (calculated per 1 kg of live weight)
